Home Conversions Original Work Rules & Campaigns

Sean's Gaming Corner is a respository of tabletop RPG materials created by me, and does not contain any works by other people.

Here you will find:

  • Conversions
  • Original Creations
  • Adventure Ideas & Alternative Rules [Under Construction]
  • News
  • And a link back to my blog.

In order to make use of the content of the site you will need only a few things. First your going to need your Game Master/Dungeon Master's permission to use anything here. Second you still need to own a copy of the game's Core Rule Book.

All materials that I have created are as balanced as I can make them working by myself. In my process of creation of these materials I tend to try and favor low numbers, and as such it is more possible that a class or enhancement may be underpowered. In some cases it may actually be overpowered, but in these cases it may be a bit unavoidable and if your GM allows it they may have methods of addressing this.

The News

I'm finally all done! The rules that I've spent well over a year or two working on are complete and uploaded to the - Rules & Campaigns - section of the website. I want folks to understand that it is not only 100% unofficial, but that only 1 person - myself - was the only person working on this system. If you find anyone claiming the work as their own, please report them and let me know.

I have forgotten that I had moved my news section to the main page here. Well, most of my time has been spent working on my own Dragon Ball RPG rules. This project is one that I've taken very seriously, with extensive editing, rewrites, creating special assets to put into the book.

If you follow along on social media, you'll have seen multiple screen shots of my time working on it. But I have also found time to make a few other things like: Jedi Class for Patherfinder 2E and a Dragon Ball RPG quick-play ruleset...which I should go back and give an update to.

I do have plans for additional projects as I am nearing completion of my RPG. The next big project is going to be a 5E open ruleset that will do away with some of the mechanics I dislike about D&D 5E. The general idea here is to keep levels, but to allow more open character creation. Like Classes being more of a generalization of what a character can do rather than something that affects how you level up. Class Features are things you would make, following certain guidelines, and wouldn't actually be tied to a class but influenced by classes you have. Feats, would be similar, but I would need to sort out differences between what features do and what feats do.

Other plans include making a Psionics 5E adaptation that doesn't treat psionics as some other spell casting class.

Well, to begin, it's been a while since I actually posted anything in my news section, as I forgot about it, so I simply removed the section and instead moved the news to the front page. Anyway, I've updated the appearance of the Reploids character option for Starfinder to a more presentable appearance.

I also made a Character Sheet for Cyperpunk RED. The orginal character sheet by R.Talsorian games was, well - red - and far too much red for me. So, I made my own variation with a different color palet.

However, the most recent creation is my attempt at some Dragon Ball quick play RPG rules. Now the idea behind these rules was to try and make a 1 page RPG for Dragon Ball. However, this proved to be impossible for me (at this time) as there is a lot going on in Dragon Ball. As such I did what I could to make the rules as ambiguous and open and flexible enough for players to interpret how things can be done. This document will be updated as I get feed back from people.

The new Dragon Ball quick play rules can be found in the Rules & Campaigns Section.

I created this conversion after finally being able to play the video game, "Day's Gone" for the PS4. In playing the game I saw the potential for it being a good TTRPG setting, and the best ruleset for this conversion was that of Savage Worlds. I went big for creating the book for this. It's not a staggering number of pages, only 32, and the work itself was simple, though I did some things differently for making this PDF. Such as moving away from the template I made for other conversions and such, since those are not really books.

As for what I'll be doing next, recently I found my old Dragon Ball Z conversion for D20 Modern game rules. Well I'm going to tuck into this, and create an all new set of rules that uses 5th Edition D&D rules, but will make use of new mechanics for making characters. Basicly, I'm going to attempt to make this a classless rule set, but there will still be levels and means of specializing via characters taking up "roles" in addition to backgrounds, species, and maybe something else like the subclass abilities for more specialized roles.

So I had someone on Facebook point out to me that I didn't have a Strider character class for D&D 5th Edition. Well, even though I was working on a different project (a d20 system House Rules document), I stepped away from that to work on this. I don't think it's over powered, though it may be underpowered, but I could be wrong.
